# MsgSetReservedProtocolAddress

Marks an address as a reserved protocol address, or removes the mark. Only the x/gov module account (`bb10d07y265gmmuvt4z0w9aw880jnsr700jelmk2z`) can sign it, so it ships inside a governance proposal. There is no `bb tx tokenization` subcommand.

The TypeScript SDK has no wrapper class for this message. Build the proposal JSON and submit it with the chain CLI. The deposit shown is the mainnet `min_deposit` (10,000 BADGE); an expedited proposal needs 20,000 BADGE.

## Fields

| `isReservedProtocol` | bool | yes | `true` to reserve, `false` to release. |

The response is empty.

## Behavior

- Fails with `ErrInvalidSigner` if `authority` is not the module authority, and with `ErrInvalidRequest` for an invalid address.
- Writes the flag to the reserved-protocol-address store. Query it with [IsAddressReservedProtocol](https://docs.bitbadges.io/token-standard/queries/is-address-reserved-protocol) or [GetAllReservedProtocolAddresses](https://docs.bitbadges.io/token-standard/queries/get-all-reserved-protocol-addresses).
- The chain marks its own derived addresses automatically: cosmos coin wrapper path addresses and backed path addresses become reserved when a collection adds them. This message is for addresses the protocol reserves by governance decision.
